BioI'm a 27-year-old student who recently returned to college to pursue a BFA in communication design. That's graphic arts, digital media design and the like. I graduated high school in 1998 and got my associate's degree in 2000. I worked for a newspaper for five years before I decided to come back to school.
I'm a fun-loving guy. I like to go out with friends, listen to music, I'm very interested in film and popular culture. I'm creative and enjoy being artsy.
I'm a senior at Texas State University, and I'm the design editor for the school newspaper The University Star. I plan to graduate in the Fall of 2008. I've put a lot of time and effort into my education and I want to be successful at it.
I've got quite an obsession with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I have an extensive collection of t-shirts, comic books, action figures, and other merchandise that I will never part with. I've got my own website, which is pretty popular among other fans. I see it as a unique characteristic that makes me who I am. I appreciate all sorts of things -- music, artwork, film ... Ninja Turtles is just one more thing on that list.
I love Ray Bradbury books, sci-fi, fantasy and thriller novels. I'm a huge fan of the Harry Potter series, as well as folk tales and fables from all over the world.
I like movies that I can walk away from with something to talk about. Crash, American Beauty, The Matrix... all genres, all studios. I have no preference. I like action as much as drama, comedy as much as horror. Independent films fascinate me, and I've been lucky enough to participate in the making of one.
Some people get upset when someone says they like all kinds of music. I've said that once or twice, but I'll be more specific here. I like indie, British pop, classical, Nintendo music, soundtracks and original scores. Some of my favorite bands are Depeche Mode, Doves, Hooverphonic. My favorite composers are Thomas Newman, Philip Glass, and Koji Kondo. I don't listen to hip hop, country or pop music like Britney Spears. But I won't say that I hate that music. I do enjoy a few country and hip hop songs. Some pop music is fun. I enjoy listening to trip hop and other ambient type music as well.
I'm a huge fan of Mexican food... like my momma makes. Italian, Chinese, and steakhouse food is awesome, and barbecue is too good to pass up.
